Research Into Newspapers
After looking into music videos and newspapers I decided that I wanted to do my media course work on newspapers because i am interested in finding out the local, national and international news. I always watch the news on the television but have never read it in a newspaper so the first thing i did was to go out and buy three different types of newspapers.
Sunday Express
The Sunday Express is an English language weekly newspaper that is published in Montreal and was launched in 1918. The Sunday Express includes national stories covering the royal family,celebrities,dating tips,sport and activities like crosswords.
The Guardain
The Guardain is a British national daily newspaper which circulates worldwide,containing articles from the its pairing newspaperThe Observer, as well as reports, features and book reviews from the Washington post and articles translated from Le Monte.
The mirror
The mirror is a British national daily tabloid newspaper which was founded in 1903. The newspaper contains celebrity news,sports,money issues and general gossip. When it was launched in November 1903 it was run by women for women but scene has been adapted for a mixed gender audience and employees.

Media Studies A2 Course
On our first day back, we got told about the media studies A2 course. Our first task is to either create a music video or a local newspaper. I am unsure about which one to do so i thought i would look into both which would give me an more in depth knowledge which i could base my decision on.
Music Video's
In 1894, various performers promoted sales of their songs by a projection of a series of still images on a screen simultaneous to live performances which was the first step towards music videos. From looking into music video's i found out that the first music that was created was from the Beatels 'A Hard Day's Night'. It was shot in balck and white and the musical sequences furnished basic templates on which countless music videos are now based on. It was also the opening to the film 'A Hard Day's Night'.
Local Newspaper's
A newspaper is a scheduled publication containing news of current events,informative articles, diverse features,editorials and advertising.The first newspaper to be published by the beginning of the 17th century the right to print was strictly controlled in England. However the first newspaper published in the english langue was printed in Amsterdam around 1620 but England started to print their own papers in London between 1632 and 1638.
